Rep. Hobbs to Host Senior Tax Town Hall

Lawmaker urges community members to get answers on tax changes

LANSING - State Representative Rudy Hobbs (D-Southfield) will host an informative town hall on Monday, March 12 Adult Recreation Center at McDonnell Tower Complex, 24350 Civic Center Dr. in Southfield at 11 a.m to answer residents’ questions on the recent changes to the state tax structure. Community members can find out more about the changes, connect with resources that might be helpful as they prepare for the new tax system, and share their thoughts on the new tax burden imposed on Michigan families. Rep. Hobbs will be joined by panelists M.J. Hunt from the Accounting Aid Society and Tinesha Levertte from the Internal Revenue Service.
